College of Education and Learning Design

Advising and Student Success Center

Fostering Student Success at Every Step

The College of Education and Learning Design Advising and Student Success Center works with undergraduate students in their first and second years who have fewer than 60 credits. Our center not only provides professional academic advising—we’re also here to help with course selection, degree requirements, orientation, and student involvement opportunities. Whether you’re curious about our campus’s environment or need a recommendation to another center, we provide resources to help you thrive.

An Important Note for Prospective K-12 and 5-12 Teachers

For advising, students pursuing a B.S. in Education in any content area leading to a K–12 license or a 5–12 license should first contact the department representing the subject area in which they plan to teach.

After you have met with an advisor in the major department, please contact the Department of Teacher Development to meet with a member of the secondary education faculty for additional advice regarding professional education courses required for licensure.
